Greg Baker, Managing Partner
Greg is a versatile and highly accomplished executive with experience in corporate leadership, business development, startups, M&A, strategic planning, competitive analysis, and more. He has spent much of his career growing business in the electrical products, packaging, and chemical industries. Throughout, he has been buying, selling, and combining companies to fit strategic goals as an executive for public and private companies. Greg has also held a variety of board positions.
Most recently, Greg served as President and CEO of 2D2C, Inc. At 2D2C, he created a company that develops safer energy-saving products through innovative technology. Greg was also VP Corporate Development and Acting Division President for a high-tech subsidiary at Woodhead Industries, Director Corporate Development for Tenneco, and Financial Analyst for AlliedSignal, among others.
Greg has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin (’86) and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.
Jason Jacobsohn, Vice President
Jason has over ten years of experience supporting and educating small business owners and entrepreneurs in the Chicago and surrounding area. He has provided hundreds of businesses with capital formation, strategic direction, mentorship, and resource development.
Most recently, he was a Business Advisor at City Colleges of Chicago, a business management education program funded by Goldman Sachs. At City Colleges, he helped small business owners develop the skills necessary to grow their companies. He was the Director of The Founder Institute, a global network of startups and mentors that help entrepreneurs launch companies, where he recruited founders, mentors, and partners to participate in the accelerator program. He was also the Managing Director of Reliable Venture Partners, providing entrepreneurs and emerging businesses with investor preparation and coaching, strategic advisory services, business development, resource development, and capital formation.
Jason had a BBA in Real Estate and Finance from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from DePaul.
Bryan has over 16 years of executive leadership experience in early and growth stage tech businesses. As CEO, he built GradeBeam.com into a B2B Construction Communication Network connecting 500,000+ contractors across North America. He led the company from concept to industry leader and successful exit (acquired by Textura with attractive returns for all investors). He also served on the Textura executive team to integrate companies prior to an IPO and eventual acquisition by Oracle. Bryan now leverages his record of entrepreneurial success to maximize business valuations and shareholder value. He has served in various C-level, consulting, board member, and advisor roles to help companies develop and execute growth strategies. He is currently Chief Operations & Revenue Officer at Arrow Payments and CEO of ROI Magnet Strategic Advisors.
Bryan graduated from UW ('97), where he received Academic All American honors in engineering and business while starting four years for the Badger football team (including the '94 Rose Bowl Championship). He also played in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers and Indianapolis Colts.
Chris Fameree is the founding partner of Assure with 10+ years of combined public accounting and industry experience. He has led and participated in numerous engagements including SSAE 16 engagements, due diligence engagements, financial statement audits and other advisory projects.
Prior to founding Assure, Chris was a Senior Manager in the Transaction Advisory Services Group and Audit Group of a large regional CPA firm. During this time, Chris participated in numerous business combinations and due diligence assignments. These transactions ranged from $10 million to over $100 million in value. Chris also worked at a national CPA firm, where he served lead roles on engagements from international Fortune 500 companies to closely held private manufacturers.
Chris received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and Wisconsin.
Chris is Managing Director of ORD Advisors, LLC, providing advisory, consulting and quality assurance services. He also currently serves as Director and Advisory Board Member for Intelligent Beverages LLC and as a Director of the University of Wisconsin Foundation & Alumni Association Board. He was a founding member and Director of the University of Wisconsin Accenture Undergraduate Leadership Center Advisory Board and a Director of Marquette University’s STEM Advisory Board.
Previously, Chris served as President and Chief Executive, as well as Chairman of Coors Distributing Company. Before being tapped to lead Coors Distributing Company, he held a number of senior executive roles where he transformed key functions. He also formerly served global clients as a Partner with Accenture.
Chris holds a Master's Degree in Education, Globalization, and Educational Policy from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Investments & Banking, Real Estate & Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin. He also completed the Advanced Business Management Program at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
Steve is a dynamic leader who prides himself on growing cross-functional teams to deliver world-class design and digital transformation services for some of world’s most successful companies. As the Managing Director of North American Strategic Accounts for Fjord, Accenure’s global Design & Innovation studio, Steve is the driving key growth initiatives with Accenture’s largest and most-innovative customers.
Prior to joining Fjord, Steve was the Managing Director of R/GA San Francisco and opened their Los Angeles office in 2013. He previously lead the SF Studio and global headquarters for Frog Design and held several key digital leadership roles with the Publicis Groupe/Leo Burnett in Chicago.
Steve has an MBA from the University of Michigan, and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin.
Andrew has nineteen years of experience in the investment business, from startups (FundQuest, Acacia Research, 94Fifty, Foster Bridge Partners) to early stage growth companies (Conseco Capital Management, Savoie Capital Management, Tactical Allocation Group, Hatteras Funds) to scaled global businesses (Capital Group Companies, Sentinel Investments).
Andrew brings a unique perspective to founders and new companies who seek to grow by forming companies, scaling ideas, entering new markets, and developing new products. Through business development and consulting, Andrew has raised over $8B during his career and worked with companies in venture, private equity, private debt, hedge funds, commodities, and real estate.
Andrew is now partner at CSIG Holding Company in Michigan. He has degrees from Northwestern and the University of Wisconsin (History ’98).
Scott is a partner at the law firm of Williams Mullen on their Corporate and Securities team in Richmond, Virginia. He serves as a strategic advisor to boards of directors and C-suite executives. He also represents issuers and underwriters in initial and secondary public securities offerings, as well as private placements of debt and equity securities.
Prior to joining Williams Mullen, Scott was a partner at LeClair Ryan in a similar role. In 2015, he was named Richmond’s “Lawyer of the Year for Securities Regulation by Best Lawyers. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Banking and Finance Law, Corporate Governance Law, Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, Securities/Capital Markets Law and Securities Regulation.
Scott earned his JD degree from the University of Wisconsin, and a BBA degree in Management from the College of William & Mary.
Jaal is currently the Grainger Professor of Sustainable Energy and the Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin. He has been recognized as a Fellow of both the Society of Automotive Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for his contributions. He has published widely in this field, covering spark-and compression-ignition engines and the application of optical diagnostics to investigate in-cylinder phenomena.
Jaal has served as Director of the Wisconsin Small Engine Consortium (WSEC), and is currently the Director of the Direct-injection Research Consortium (DERC).
Jaal received a PhD from Princeton University and has been a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1995.
Andrew has over 25 years experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, veterinary, and medical device development. He also has experience in business startups, investor relations, and fundraising from VC and private equity. Currently, Andrew operates a private consulting firm, Scientific Business Advisors Inc, that serves a wide range of companies, from startups to established Fortune 100 companies. Prior to that, Andrew was an Associate Director and Senior Commercial Scientist at Covance.
In addition to his consulting business, Andrew serves on advisory boards and mentoring teams. He is a volunteer mentor for The Madison Entrepreneur Resource, Learning and Innovation Network (MERLIN) where he provides business advice to entrepreneurs looking to form a new business venture.

Christopher (UW'12) is a member of the Bascom Ventures Fellow program. He currently works as an Investment Analyst for Briar Hall, a single family office located in Chicago, Illinois. At Briar Hall, he performs due diligence on private equity and venture capital investment opportunities. Previously, he was a Research Analyst with DiMeo Schneider & Associates focused on due diligence within the emerging and international debt & equity spaces and private markets.
Christopher holds an MBA with a concentration in finance from the Marquette Graduate School of Management and undergraduate degrees in economics, and political science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Keaton (UW ‘17) is a member of the Bascom Ventures Fellow program. He recently returned to Wisconsin after a five-year career playing professional basketball around Europe. He has international experience after spending years living in Germany, Spain, Latvia, and Italy.
He originally attended UW-Madison from 2007-11 and returned in 2017 to complete his degree in Kinesiology.

Prakash (UW'06) is a member of the Bascom Ventures Fellow program. He is currently Senior Global Product Manager in the Patient Care and Monitoring Solutions business unit at Philips, where he is responsible for driving product strategy and global commercialization of clinical analytics and clinical decision support solutions for critical care. Before Philips, Prakash held marketing and R&D positions at Neuronetics, Inc., Boston Scientific, GE Healthcare, and St. Jude Medical.
Prakash received his MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and his BS in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin.
